College Rule  

1.Academic Section: The academic session of the college is from 1st june to 31st May.The Colllege session begins in july after the Summer vacation.

2. Admission: Admission begins after the publication of the results of Board. CHSE and F.M University Examination and continues till the last date as noted below.Further the admission in it Hons . Classes shall be completed within the time limits of admission.

3. The time limits of admission: The F.M. University/CHSE has prescribed the following time limits for admission into college for different classes. SI.No Class to which Time Limit for Admission Admission is sought

A. +2(For students passing the qualifying Annual Exam) Within six weeks after the date of the re-opening of the college after summer vacation or publication of results which is later. Late admission upto a further period of two weeks with fee of Rs.10.00 subject to approval of Council. The attendance at Lectures, tutorials and practical’s of candidates admitted after expiry of six weeks of time limit provided in the regulation shall be calculated from the date of their admission.(Vide regulation6(6) of chapter II of regulation)

B.+2(For Students passing the supplementary H.S.C. Exam) Within 3 weeks after the date of publication of result without late admission fee plus 10days with approval of CHSE on payment of late admission fees of Rs

10 in each case. The attendance at Lectures, tutorials and practical of the candidates admitted after expiry of two weeks of time limit will be calculated from the date of their admission.

C. +3 Degree Course(For students passing the +2 Arts/Sc/Com Exams at the Annual Exams. As per F.M. University Regulations.

4.Process Of Admission: Students should apply to the principal in the prescribed from obtained from the College office either in the person on payment of prescribed fees or by sending the same by M.O before the last date fixed for admission. Application must be submitted along with all the requisite documents to the principal bypost or submitted in the college office. Incomplete application or applications submitted after expiry of the last date will not be considered. However E-admission is conducted as per Govt. circular issued in different period. In order to ensure uniformity selection procedure it has been decided that there shall be a selection committee with the following members toi select the candidate within the existing rules for admission into different classes.

1. Principal of the College Chairman

2. 3 to 5 teaches form different teaching deptts. As Secretary and members One of the teachers from among the members above is to be nominated by the Principal as the Secretary of the Committee. The Seceratary of the Committee will maintain a register for all applications of the candidates, to place before the committee for finalization of the selection under the Chairman of the Principal. The seceratary and members of the selection Committee will exercise utmost care at the time of the verification of scrutiny of the certificates selected in order of merit subject to other relevant rules. The names of selected candidate for admission are to be published in the College Notice Board duly signed by Principal after being finalized by the committee. The committee will also finalize award of optional and honors subjects. Question of special weight age for admission will be determined by the Admission Committee as and when wanted by the Principal

5.Correspondence: All correspondence must be addressed to the principal by designed not by name.

6.Adress: Every student must register his/her address in the college office. Any subsequent change of address must be intimated to the college office immediately in writing.

7.Bicycles: Cycles must be kept in the cycle stand and should be locked up for safety. Cycles must not be taken on the verandahs or the corridors. Cycles must have their licenses. Riding on the cycles within the college premises is not allowed. Double riding is strictly prohibited in the college campus.

8.Fees:Tution fee must be paid on the days fixed for their collection. If the fees and default fine are not paid by the last working date of the month, the pupils name should be struck off the rolls and he should only be readmitted on payment of back dues and fees as admissible under rules.

9.Private Clubs and Teams: Subsequent of the college are forbidden(i) to belong to any outside athletic clubs or society which is not approved by the Govt. And (ii) to play for any team other than the college team without previously taking the written permission of the principal.

10. Permission to go to play outside the station: When the match is played outside Basudevpur ,the members of the team and the other students who wish to accompany the team, must obtain previously the leave of the absence from the Principal. Boards of the Hostel must apply to the superintendent for permission to stay away.


i)No permission is required for college students other than he boarders to attend political meeting but they should not conduct themselves into undesirable prominence and they must not take any active part in the proceedings. It is to be borne in the mind, however , the college should be dealt with in a scholarly may be however in form of lectures and thoughtful address. The principal may however prohibit all students from attending a political meeting if he apprehends a breach of peace or arousal of communal feelings(article No.114 in page 81 of the Orissa education Code)

ii)Pasting placards, posters and other papers and disfiguring college walls, doors and windows with pencil, chalk etc. are strictly prohibited. iii)They must not temper with light and fan switches or other articles of the college.

12.Breach of Discipline: Violation of any of the college rules and concerted absence without leave are regarded as the most serious breach of college discipline.
